We are excited and proud to announce a fantastic milestone at Unic Air! We have now surpassed over 1,000,000 m³/h of CO₂ cooled air with our Blue CO₂ unit combined.
“A big thank you to all our customers and partners for contributing to achieving the first million m³/h of cooled air. Also, a huge thanks to all our dedicated employees, who are already hard at work developing what will bring us to the next millions,” says Henrik Hejlemann Jensen, CEO of Unic Air.
Dedicated and motivated to continue the development
“This is something we are incredibly proud of, as we are the only manufacturers in Denmark using natural refrigerants for cooling in our ventilation units. We therefore see this milestone not just as proof of our innovative and efficient solutions, but also as an expression of our commitment to contributing to the green transition,” continues Henrik Hejlemann Jensen.
At Unic Air, we are aware of the importance of our contribution to the green transition, and it motivates us to remain dedicated in our work to continue developing our innovative and efficient solutions that are also future-proof.
Significant Advantages of Using CO₂ as a Refrigerant
The significant milestone we have reached at Unic Air is something we are incredibly proud of, especially when considering the many advantages of using CO₂ as a refrigerant. By using CO₂ as a refrigerant, substantial benefits are achieved, as it has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of only 1, compared to typical synthetic HFC refrigerants, which have a GWP of around 2000. This makes our Blue CO₂ units much more climate-friendly.
Our Blue CO₂ units are not only much more climate-friendly but also a future-proof solution. The traditional HFC refrigerants, often used in ventilation units with integrated cooling, face a phase-out rule in 2025. By choosing our CO₂ solutions, our customers avoid the potential challenges and restrictions that will accompany the use of these phased-out refrigerants.
